Lurker Here,
Here to provide some final questions for my winner pick, as we head into the FINAL WEEK,
As a three-time final week alumnus, I know that this is where dreams are made and hopes are crushed, and I don’t just mean the ones where I’m naked and have to give a presentation while simultaneously falling to my death. The decisions you make in this next week are either going to be in your winning montage or haunt you so much that you are forced to play time and time again in a perpetual state of Samsara finally waiting for your chance to clinch that W.
So, consider me to be the Dickensian Jacob Marley to your Ebenezer Scrounge as I ask you a question about the past, the present and the future of your time in this game to hopefully push you to the next level to get that bag.
THE FUTURE.
Former Nate Winner Pick, Jean-Paul Sartre once said “everything starts with a plan - and then you end up with shit all over your Ford Fiesta”. In terms of your plan, if everything were to go your way – what is the boot list for the rest of the season? Who do you take with you to the Final 3? How do you plan on making this happen?
THE PAST.
While there’s still a lot of game to play, nobody can win Stranded off the final week alone. Previous Nate Winner Picks have run marathons on one leg, have competed on the International Underground Hungry Hungry Hippos Circuit and walked on water. As a Nate Official Winner Pick, do you think you’ve done enough to earn that notable distinction? If Final Tribal Council was tomorrow, what would be your pitch? If you get to the Final 3, do you think you can win it?
THE PRESENT.
In the film Kung Fu Panda, the main character creates a social networking app from his college dorm, but dies before he can tell his story. Here is your chance to tell your story. If/when you win this season, what would be the first words that they play during your winner montage and/or in memoriam segment?
Hello again! I have been trying to perfect my answers so here goes!
THE FUTURE: The bootlist for the rest of the season, if I could create it would probably go the next three votes being Gillian, Charlie and Eric but not necessarily in that order. With the goats gone my threat level should be easier to manage. Which then means it'd be time to work on the rest of the threats. If I go to the end with Michelle I won't be too pressed, she hasn't been a strategic mastermind so far. I'd say Ron would also be a good choice but I don't like Ron so he'd probably be better fit for the forth boot this week since others would be ok voting him. Out of Chris and Randy I'd probably rather go with Randy just because I feel like I'd have a better chance of beating him that Chris even though that's who I have a deal with. So ideal final three Michelle and Randy/Ron unless Michelle suddenly starts pulling out all the strategic stops.
THE PAST: I don't know how I'm living up to past Nate Official Winner Picks but I'd like to think I haven't been doing the title dirty. If final tribal council were tomorrow my pitch would be that I played loyal to my allies and wasn't afraid to flip when it was needed. Out of everyone in the game so far, my only proclaimed "ally" to go home was Aurora and I voted with her. I've voted out people I was supposedly working with but in my opinion that's a different beast. Everyone who I've entertained going even remotely near the end with is still in the game even if I've helped get their allies out. The other big thing would be me not being afraid to flip. If I had just stuck with the girls I would have been complete toast. No way they didn't end up cutting me way before the end. By flipping to the guy's alliance I ensured I'd have deeper relationships with them as they'd trust me more than the other women, but I put the women in a situation where they also had to work with me in order to keep their standing. The other big thing to throw out would be the Reem vote. The vote itself was Ron's idea however, I was that final vote they needed and it was a calculated risk. Taking out Reem changed the course of the game. With only three women left I made myself a lot more vulnerable but it should have reduced my target level a little as I don't have this other strong alliance to just jump to. If I had stuck with the women and voted Eric I would have guaranteed the men would go after me and more than likely succeed as Reem would flip as well as probably Ron and Charlie if not Michelle even.
THE PRESENT: My winner montage (because we are not entertaining the idea of an in memoriam smh) would most likely be a compilation of my confessionals in which I called other players weird, dumb, stupid, idiots etc. I mean I like to think I have relatively good relationships with the contestants in the game but let's be real, the large majority of my confessionals are me ranting about how other people are annoying and making dumb decisions. It'd be perfect as it'd show my true personality while also demonstrating that my absurd amount of confidence (so much that I could just critique everyone else) paid off in the end and wasn't unguided. In the event that I did however get cut early, it'd probably be the same thing because it'd be amusing to see the people I was hating on for not playing well cut me. And people are normally way too nice when they play the game nowadays so I'm sure they'd be all over that.
