One down, many more to go! Congrats on surviving your first weekend in the Kuril islands. It looks like the game is ramping up, and we have a couple questions for you about tonight's events.

1-Walk us through the immunity challenge. What was your team's approach, and do you think you worked well together?
2-The tribe rankings afforded the lowest ranking tribe member the opportunity to jump ship and neither person took the offer. do you think this was the right choice?
3-Any fun drama related to the tribe rankings? Spill for us. We're thirsty for some drama.
4-With Victoria gone, it appears we have 19 active players in this game. how does this effect your strategy moving forward?
5-If you could vote one person out right now for an extremely petty reason, who would it be and why?

Bonus questions
Can you recap your Idol search for us and the spectators?

Did you share your clue or the fact that you got a clue with anyone?

Whats your plan going forward with the Idol and clues?

tl;dr - professional googler, gonna share this clue, devens is scary, victoria was irrelevant

Everything is down at my company, so I've had some good free time to make this.

So last night was the first immunity challenge. Our team's approach was fairly simple - the four posters did their job and finished faster then expected, and I thought it would be every man for themselves to finish the puzzle. At first, I was afraid to take the role of posting images one by one. It wasn't that bad - I had two monitors where one was the forum post for the challenge and the other one with the quoted block of images to post from my confessionals.

In our tribe chat, I told the posters to reply with all the images in one post after they posted all theirs. Everyone except Deven did so. Tbh, I was thinking Deven shot himself in the foot if he doesn't post his block of code. Little did I expect for him to post the whole puzzle lmao. It was scary fast. He showed a lot of his cards tonight; it may benefit him now but people will remember. I think he was scared about his placement, but after reading about the challenge before getting the twist reveal, he knew he had this in the bag.

The twist reveal was kind-of surprising. I did imagine a mutiny-styled event. Now, if either Devens or Aurora took that offer, they'd have lost the game. You'd have to admit yourself as a goat to whatever majority alliance picks you up until a swap, or get voted right away after your first tribal council. Devens could've gotten away with whatever his decision was just by the nature of being a challenge beast out the gate. It'd still be uncomfortable to be on a tribe as the sole male if he was already voted in as the least important of the tribe.

Y'all I'd be thirsty for some :tea: too

I had my own personal issue with the rankings - I got 1st haha. I thought it was pretty general to get to know everyone on the tribe, and so would everyone else. Maybe I'm good at first impressions idk. It's also interesting that I tied with Randy. I suggested before our shared first place finish that we'd work together, but now we definitely have to. Right now I don't have much drama on these rankings. I think it's just whose talked more, and whose talked less. Even if it's a chore to talk to Wardog, he'll talk to you. Eric not being last was a surprise given he didn't get on until Friday.

Now that I look at it, I really want to work with Chris, Randy, and Devens. Chris is another college guy that I hope I can ride or die until the merge. I'll get into later how I want to rope him in. Randy and I at this point will be stuck in a mutual agreement to work with each other. Albeit, I do like him also in the game. After Devens performance at the challenge, he's going to shoot up those rankings back from the bottom to the top. If the twist turns into another idol clue for the top player, it may shape things up. If Charlie doesn't show up anymore, I'll be disappointed cause he'd be another person I like.

Idc about Victoria. Probably walked out of this game like Victoria P's last night on the Bachelor. She probably never got on. Rip the showmance that never could be #1.

Other than voting that weird grannie girl whose name I can't afford to find on this forum, I'd vote out Matty just so I don't have to see that "derp" avatar of his ever on this tribe again. Also could vote out Randy just for funs.

~~~ Idol Hunt ~~~
So I recall listening to that pre-game podcast, and probably @Joaquin et al. all were talking about how difficult it was to find idols and I'm like "bet, try me." Idk if you've ever had a newbie like me. I've found an idol or two on a college campus from miniscule details alone. I've wrote clues too. Like we have to go really sparse on details after my season cause people are all to crazy about finding idols. All I knew coming in was Google and Wikipedia are my friend :)
I picked up on the clues pretty fast. Probably the most southern island, Kunashir, and that it was like an indigenous species or one-of-a kind plant or animal on the island. I spent maybe twenty minutes before the challenge trying japanese odd-tooth snake invariants. Random plants also didn't work. I tried a really specific query like "unique indigenous kunashir kuril islands etc." and from one of those, the Wikipedia snippet on google bolded "Far Eastern Skink is only found on this island." I'd say maybe thirty minutes of trying before-and-after the challenge. Try harder next time~
Now I would've enjoyed being the sole owner of this idol clue. But Randy exists. The idol clue is legitimately difficult, and I don't think Randy is as google-savvy. I can afford to share this clue to start building trust.
Deven's challenge performance may shoot him up the rankings all the way to first for likability. Hell, Devens is my favorite person in the world just for the performance alone. Randy and I could guarentee that by skewing the votes a little bit. Devens may still feel on the bottom, and having the two top players reach out to him with an idol clue may get that trust firmly. The sell to Randy is that if it's not us two up there for first again, then someone else is getting an idol clue. Let's guarantee that its with Deven and keep this under wraps until "we" have the idol in our possession. If first place doesn't get the idol clue, then last place did. And we'll have a three or four person alliance. Arrogantly, I think I've had one of the fastest idol finds in your production, so we can definitely sell to Deven that both Randy and I couldn't find this idol right now.
I want to share this clue with Chris. While I enjoy Randy, he will stab me in the back, probably with players I'm less close to. Chris on the other hand, would stab me in the back with people I know, so I'd probably more easily tell when and where I should play my idol. Chris and I are in similar life circumstances (in college tbh) and he'd be someone I'd hang out. I want him as a ride-or-die until he gets voted out. In order to gain majority with Randy and more, I'd bring in Chris. Oh we'll definitely bat heads, but these first vote outs will most likely be people who aren't really into the game / don't show up to anything. This game will ramp up by then end of the week / beginning of next week, or when a swap occurs.
Otherwise, I'm gonna talk to Wardog about the Oscar's, and still do ~boy flirting~.
